The guest speaker that I chose to reflect on is Rebecca Harris. Rebecca Harris was my teams guest speaker, so what better person to reflect on than Ms.Harris. Rebecca Harris is a well known member of the Chatham community as the executive director for the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship. This department is a part of Chatham University's Women's Institute. Rebecca Harris and her assistant Michelle Price came into our Foundations of Business class earlier this semester to talk about starting a business. Ms. Harris is an entrepreneur with thirty-five years of experience. She founded her own business called Harris Consulting which provided professional services to a wide range of nonprofit and private corporate clients. To practice my professional networking, I attended the kick off event for the Chatham University Marketing Club back at the beginning of the semester. I decided to go to this event because I am a marketing major and I thought that it would be beneficial to go to this event to meet more people who have similar interests as myself.The speaker that spoke at this meeting was Courtney Noal. Courtney is the president of the Chatham Marketing Association and told all off the attendees what to expect as a member of CMA. Courtney talked about the role of marketing in the world and how all of us as future marketers need to fulfill our role. She told all of us that the faculty advisor of the Chatham Marketing Association is Dr. DeLong. Dr. DeLong is the assistant professor of marketing at Chatham University.
